Now for a change of pace!

After doing a number of landscapes, I had a flurry of inspiration on the abstract front.

I think my landscapes are meticulously done, with attention to detail and precision; whereas my abstracts are unfettered, with free flowings lines, big, bold movement and colour. I just love it!

I also did a big close-up of wild flowers, again with lots of bright colour and bold strokes of my brush.

For me, I HAVE to mix it up or I feel cheated. Doing small, controlled pieces to doing big, free flowing ones, just allows me to express myself completely. I am not one or the other, but both - in control and conscientious as well as free spirited and experimental and need both sides to express myself as a whole artist.

Pics to be posted soon.

Thank you Alison. I'm happy to see that people don't just look, but comment too - that's the whole point of Art isn't it - to get people communicating!
